WW I

Olá,

We‘re well into it, it is obvious – WWI.

„He must have read the wrong blog or book or smoke stuff…“ ;-) Far from it and it‘s not about the 19th century.

We‘ve entered the World War of Information.
Our recent past it was the states search for loopholes into platforms to sneak out private data, beyond what we publish publicly on daily bases and that already has been used for advertisement and marketing purpose.
Additionally, misinformation/propaganda for social uproar and political campaigns, not just distorted war reports, as we have seen in the last few years, so strong it blows our minds so much that we go bonkers with freedom of speech and privacy rally our health into junk and prove/declare ourselves with such action as asocial monkeys on steroids. Even involving and accepting utter violence to push for the campaigns we Rallye, regardless of the cause.

These days we see that not only corporations, but equally states are fighting on a global level to gain the upper hand on even more important long term loot – the platforms holding and nurturing our data. Focus is our behavioral data, communication, the interaction. It‘s so attractive to them, because there‘s no wide spread of server platforms, but just a few kind of monopolistic structure and all of us feel dependent from these virtual ties to our mutual friends. This focus makes it so attractive to just snap the platform and put it under local ruling that is freely interpretable to the needs of the state who judges about the rules, too. Independence? No, Alternatives? No.

https://www.theverge.com/2020/8/3/21352309/microsoft-tiktok-acquisition-deal-why-us-countries-data just one of the superficial snaps of current moves.

Where do we stand? Why do we technology wiz‘s follow these rats? It ain‘t about china, or trump, or google, or amazon, they‘re all the same kind of players, apple, Microsoft, facebook, any of them. Target is the control of human behavior to sell more or just control more for better brain-dump-campaigning and better, faster, preventively understand what people will do next and launch protective measures, counter-campaigns, police, … Endless options.

Imagine all the information that Microsoft sucks out of the enterprise social network linkedin, skills, networks, RFP communications and relationships, and so much more. Same on the personal level with TikTok, is what they want, to level up with google, facebook, having failed on bing and Socl and other projects…

Last century Secret Agencies and Political Police Squads would have loved to have the possibilities of our modern social age. No need to murder around to snitch the information you wanted.

It‘s not what you say, it‘s who you interact with and what your interests and behaviors are, last comes content. Mass manipulation capabilities are the sauce they‘re trying desperately to build, and they‘re working hard, globally.

I am not saying all are bad, but the interests are share, protectionism, separatism, polemic, election protection, mass-opinion validation and actions adjustment or worst-case suppression or confusion with fake confirmations.

Control over Information has almost become more important than occupying a new oil-state „for peace“.

The conclusion is simple, don‘t follow the social networks hype, collaboration on any proprietary platform, non, unless locally protected by heavy open code standard encryption especially on profile and interaction data on top of protection of your content.

Bom dia,

Pessoist.
